The Pain Machine
A married couple rushed to the hospital because the woman was in labor. The doctor asked the couple, "I have invented a new machine that you might want to try, it takes some of the labor pains away from the mother and gives it to the father." So the married couple decided that they would try it. So the doctor hooked the machine up and put it on 10% of pain switched from the mother to the father and then the husband said "I feel okay turn it up a lot more" so the doctor turned it up to 50% and the husband said "why don`t you just put it all on me cause I`m not feeling a thing" but the doctor warned them "this much could kill you if your not prepared", and the husband replied "I am ready "so the doctor turned the machine up to 100% but the husband didn`t feel a thing. They went home happy with pain free labor, but when they got home the mailman was dead on the front porch!

I Miss You!
Now this may seem a little strange to some, or maybe not? I miss my friends. Now let me make this clear, this is not because my life has changed since becoming a new mom, what I really mean is that two of my closest girlfriends have moved, and not just to the next city, but one to Quebec City and the other to Phoenix (one is coming on 7 years and the other is coming on 4 years). So it's not like I can just hop in the car, take a drive and go visiting! With being so far from each other, two of us having new babies, and one busy with work and life in general, it is hard to keep in touch as much as we would like. Even if a month passes before we chat again the conversations just flow. I have to say that I am one of those people who have few very close friends. My opinion, I guess, is why waste so much time and energy on keeping tons of relationships going when many of them aren't meaningful or genuine anyway. In the end it won't matter how many friends you have but how many really meant something to you! I love you girls!

Coupons!!!!
I have never in my life used coupons; I would clip them from the paper or pick them up in a store, but then I would end up throwing them in the garbage! Now that I am on mat leave, saving every penny helps. My first coupon shopping trip saved me $37.98. I also price matched and that saved me approximately another $24.00! This picture shows everything I bought:

I only paid $23.03 ($12.59 of which was the vitamins) so everything else only cost $10.44! I am keeping track of my savings for the rest of the year starting now, with a goal of $1,000.00. This will only include coupons/store savings cards and not the price matching; however I may change this to include both later on. Wish me luck....

Happy 99th Birthday Grandma!
Today is my Grandma's 99th Birthday! For as long as I can remember no matter what the occasion, my Grandma has said "If I can't eat it I don't want it"! So we celebrated and ate Chinese food! I'm not sure how many people get to meet their Great Grandparents, but I can tell you if they do, most are not 99! She is definitely the oldest person I have ever met. I am so thankful that Makayla has been able to meet her Great Grandma, it really means alot to us! We are making sure to take lots of pictures, because that is all Makayla will have to remember her by. We told Grandma that she had better make it till next year, because then we will have a huge party for her....she just laughed.
