First Time To The Waterpark & The Dreaded Return To Work

I took Makayla to the waterpark today for the first time! She is such a water baby and we honestly haven't been swimming for a while, so I was unsure of how long she would want to spend in the pool...well she lasted two hours, the only reason we left is because she was actually shivering and her lips were blue. I figured it was time to go!! We are already planning to go again in a few weeks!! I only got one picture of us, but I thought it was a good one!




So...the return to work is soon approaching! November 15th is the day. I like my job and everything, but honestly I just do not want to leave my baby! We have found a wonderful dayhome, but it doesn't matter the thought of it still doesn't sit well with me! If only we could afford for me to stay home, or even if we had a big enough place I think that I would start a dayhome. Well I guess I need to look on the bright side of things...having a full paycheck will be nice; oh right...I have to pay for the dayhome...there goes my paycheck :(

Swimming With The Girls!

Makayla has been super grumpy the last three days. She has had lots of gas, I think she is teething, and she must be approaching a growth spurt as she is waking up 3-4 times a night to eat (which she rarely ever does). I thought we would go swimming today as she usually loves it, well not today! Brooklyn was having fun and squealing the whole time and each time Makayla would start crying...We got a few good pics, but my monkey wasn't really into swimming today.

Spring....I Don't Think So...

Today Makayla, Brooklyn, Nicky and I went swimming; this was Brooklyn's first time! It was a great day, the girls splashed about while Nicky and I visited. We finished the day off with Nicky making lasagna and garlic bread and we watched"Did You Hear About The Morgans?" it kinda sucks if you are wondering...

Notice the bulge in Makayla's pants? I forgot to put an extra diaper in our swimming bag, so I used a receiving blanket instead!

When we left the house this afternoon it was beautiful, me with no jacket, Makayla with no socks and no extra blankets wrapped around her car seat; This is what we came home to....am I surprised? No, this is Alberta!

First Time Swimming

This past Friday we took Makayla swimming for the first time! It was awesome! I was a little nervous because I didn't know how to get a baby and myself ready in the change room! Grandma came along, thank goodness for that! Not only was she there to help me in the change room (which I quickly found out was very easy and I don't have to worry about it....at least until Makayla starts moving around), and she took some really great pictures and videos too!

Yay for swimming!

I would have to say that swimming is probably my fondest memory as a kid! I would love for Makayla to feel the same way about swimming as I do.

Makayla really seemed to enjoy swimming, I am hoping we can do it as a family quite often!
