Favorite Photo Friday

So it seems as though every time we are about to sit down for a meal Makayla decides that it is time for her to eat, apparently she doesn't want me to consume anything. Normally we would put her in the bouncy chair on the floor beside the table, and she would start a fuss the second I took my first bite. Well the other night I picked her up and decided that I would have her on my lap while I was eating because she was letting out a god awful scream on the floor. She seemed to be fine sitting with me and not nursing, so I figure that she isn't actually hungry every time I go to take that first bite, but she is bored down there and just wants to see whats going on and what we are so interested in. Rather than holding her the entire meal I decided to give the Bumbo a try! This picture is Makayla sitting in her Bumbo, on the table and staring down at my dinner!

A Year Ago Today....

A Big Girl Now...

Makayla is almost four months old now, ever since she was born she has been sleeping in a playpen beside our bed. Well that is not true, for the first few weeks she slept in our bed. Anyway, last night I decided that it is time she starts to sleep in her own room, in her crib. I put her to bed at 11:00pm and she literally fell asleep about 30 seconds after I put her down, which was great as I was expecting a screaming fit from her and a crying fit from me (haha)! Around 3:30am I could hear her stirring, so I got up and gave her the soother, and again at 4:00am. Both times she didn't actually wake up, just a little fuss. Then around 7:30am she heard Daddy getting ready for work, so she decided it was time to eat! After breakfast I wanted to continue sleeping so I brought her into bed with me, where we slept together for a few more hours! I actually felt a little sad last night...like my baby is growing up too soon! We shall see how tonight goes!

First Time Swimming

This past Friday we took Makayla swimming for the first time! It was awesome! I was a little nervous because I didn't know how to get a baby and myself ready in the change room! Grandma came along, thank goodness for that! Not only was she there to help me in the change room (which I quickly found out was very easy and I don't have to worry about it....at least until Makayla starts moving around), and she took some really great pictures and videos too!

Yay for swimming!

I would have to say that swimming is probably my fondest memory as a kid! I would love for Makayla to feel the same way about swimming as I do.

I love her bathing suit, I think it is just too cute! Thanks Grandma Linda!

Makayla really seemed to enjoy swimming, I am hoping we can do it as a family quite often!

First Family Day as a Family!

Today was our first Family Day as a Family!! We spent the day in our PJ's watching movies! It was just one of those days that we could have gotten all done up and gone out for a walk or something interesting, but no, instead we decided that it would be a good day to just be lazy, stay warm, snuggle and watch movies!
















Makayla has just started to really sit up....still needs to lean against you though!














I decided to make some yummy chocolate chip cookies to go along with our movies!

Happy Valentines Day!

This is our fourth Valentines Day together, and we decided upon the first approaching that we would make an annual tradition, Clint would make me his yummy spaghetti for supper (cause it is my favorite) and we would just spend the evening together. We agree that people need to think twice before handing out money on over priced flowers, jewels, chocolates, dinners and other RED items! After all it isn't suppose to be about the items, it is suppose to be about the love! Also, why should it only be one day a year...no thanks, I want to be loved all year! However when I came across this Valentines Card I just had to get it for Clint...after all this is our first with Makayla!

Mommy, Makayla and Great Grandma. Our Grandma will be 99 next month, and I am not sure how many more wonderful shared moments there will be and how many moments in time will be captured! I am hoping for lots!

Time flies...

Wow! It is hard to believe that 3 months have already passed since the moment I laid my eyes on my precious baby girl. The thought has already crossed my mind that I never want to go back to work, just thinking of leaving her with someone else is heartbreaking. Sometimes I wish that the time didn't go by so quickly, yet in the same time is it amazing to watch how much she has changed in this short while. Happy 3 Month Birthday Makayla, Mommy loves you!
