17 Weeks

I saw my family Doctor for the last time today, my next appointment will be with the OB. The heart rate was at 150bpm...I just love the sound of that muffled little heart beat, it honestly makes my day!

I am slowly starting to feel better! Woo Hoo! However, sleeping is getting to be a bit of a challenge! I bought a wedge pillow, so maybe that will help. Let me tell you...my breasts are growing now, as well my tummy has really popped out! I went and did aqua size this week, that was actually pretty relaxing even though it was a work out...if that makes any sense at all.

15 Weeks

16 Weeks

I have been eyeing up strollers for the last few weeks. We decided that we will buy an expensive item every month or so along the way, then we won't have so much to buy all at once near the end. Anyway, I came across the stroller that I wanted and it just so happened to be on sale $50 off...so I bought it! Now I just need to get the car seat to go with it, that will have to wait till next month!

13 Weeks

We attended an Early Pre-Natal Class last week, it was good but we didn't really learn a whole lot, most of the topics covered were things I had already read, or things that I figure are common sense!

I know it's early, but as soon as I got pregnant we knew that we wanted "espresso" colored furniture but everywhere we found it, it was crazy expensive. Well we were at Zellers on the weekend and came across a crib and change table that were so nice, espresso and only $400 for both! We bought them!! Now we will have to find a dresser to go with it....ahhhh I'm not looking forward to finding that, I'm sure it won't be as good of a deal! After we bought the crib and change table we went to Babies R Us, my mom was out shopping with us and bought us the crib bedding set (gender neutral)! It is adorable, I can't wait to set up the baby room!

I saw my Doctor this week, everything is good so far. All my blood test and physical exam results came back and all is perfect! I'm going to bed...good night!

11 Weeks

I know I am still small compared to what I am going to be, but I am starting to feel big. My pants are too tight already and I have bought some maternity clothes. I bought a pair of jeans, some capris and a few shirts...wow they are expensive!

I have been really tired the last few weeks, but it seems as though I may be starting to get a bit of energy back! Yay! Now I know it's only been a week and a bit, but the Diclectin the Doctor has prescribed doesn't seem to be doing much...I am still sick everyday, all day! The funny thing is that I have realized that I tend to get sick it the shower; it doesn't matter what time of day it is or if I have eaten or not, I am going to ask my Doctor if this is normal.

First Pre-Natal Appointment

We had our first pre-natal appointment today, at 9weeks 4days. Our Doctor forewarned us that it is still fairly early to detect and hear the heartbeat, but that he would try anyway. Well, he found it but it was so quiet we couldn't hear it; it registered at 161 - 167 bpm on the doppler. Even though we couldn't hear it, it's still amazing to know that a little miracle is growing inside of me! I had a full physical as well to make sure my body is in working order and prepared for this baby!

I have been very sick; not just in the morning (whoever named it morning sickness obviously was a man...or a women who didn't know what she was talking about haha). I like to call this "all day sickness". Anyway the Doctor prescribed me Diclectin so we will see if this works! Cross your fingers for me please!

And the tummy begins...

PREGNANT!

I started this blog on January 14, 2010....I have decided to go back to the day I found out I was pregnant and enter everything that I had kept in my journal up until we had our baby!

So here it goes:

We decided in March 2008 that we wanted to have a baby. I went off of birth control and we decided that if I got pregnant great, if not we weren't going to stress over it. I kept track of my next 12 cycles (in days) 35, 24, 26, 30, 25, 29, 22, 30, 27, 23, 31, 28. It became quite apparent that I was irregular and wasn't going to be able to predict when I ovulated. January 2009 and I still wasn't pregnant so we thought we would "try". I bought a ovulation test kit, a thermometer and Pre-Seed. January 23 was cycle day 1, and from there we started to "try". On February 25, 2009 at 10:30pm I had a positive pregnancy test!

It's faint, but it's still there!
